12-13

Plan A looked to finish off what has been a great year on a high note by taking on the undefeated old enemy in FC Scorpions. The lads knowing what was in front of them having already played out two tight games. FC got off to a fast start with our boys having to defend our line for most of the first 15 minutes. The weight of possession and field position resulting in a FC try in the corner. However, the attacking prowess of Plan A saw us level back immediately with Ed finishing off a well worked try. Sounding the alarm to FC that we'd come to play and showing we offered up much more of an attacking threat. Some huge hits in defence softening up both sides. 5-5 at the break. Beginning of the second half saw both sides trade punches without much luck before great work by KP, beating 3 FC defenders along the touchline off a scrum play, leading to another try by Moyners. 12-5 to Phoons. A few errors and lack of discipline allowed FC some good field position with a penalty goal bringing them back to 12-8 with a subsequent weight of possession leading to another FC try in the corner. This was despite huge Phoons defence that probably withstood 20+ phases in our own 10 metres. 13-12 with about 10 minutes and ultimately the decisive play by FC with the game finishing in a scrap for one last score that did not transpire. A great showing by Plan A again on finals day that showcased the slick attack and bruising defence we've become known for. A disappointing end to what has been a great season however the boys showing the HK Rugby community what we are made of and I couldn't be prouder of the show we put on, not just on Saturday, but through the whole year. Thanks everyone involved for old your hard work and effort that's consolidated Plan A's reputation as a serious rugby side year after year.
